I see on Gary's site down under , the Drake trailers have arrived and are starting to ship. This can only be good news , at last we get a true Aussie truck and float set up. With Easter , I guess someone will have one by the end of next week.
Happy Easter ! Mick

Looks real nice David. What are you going to load it with? I am thinking of the CAT 657G for mine.

Did the model come with the Mcaleese decals already attached? I am waiting for mine to arrive. Awesome looking model. Can wait!

Hi David,

great pics of a great model. Can the dolly also be widened? And if so, could you post some pics of that as I plan to make a Drake trailer in 1/87 scale.
Thanks

Same here. You would never see this in Europe!! Try driving one of these babies over the hundreds of roundabouts (big and small) in Holland with no steering on the trailer...

But that's one beautiful model!!! A Cat D11 Caryydozer would make a good load. Or anything else in the 80 - 100 tonne range. Do they use these trailers for moving pre-fabricated constructions as well? Or just equipment?

Tim,

Yes the McAleese version comes with the decals already attached.

Kaempfer,

Yes the dolly also widens so you will be able to get some excellent details to make a trailer in
1:87

There is also a suspension seat for the operator....

Remko,

Yes they do use them to Shift other Stuff other than Equipment.

I have some photos of a 40ton Concrete Pit that we installed at work that was transported on one of their Floats. I will Post some pics.
