Some Pics of American Bridge/Fluor's giant sheerleg on the SFOB bridge project. Capacity is 1,700 metric tons. Most lifts are over 1200-1400 tons.The first pic was the salvage of an old Navy tug that sunk and the "Lifter" was used to recover it for the Coast Guard.

Excellent pics. The ringer looks small in comparison. The workers look puny. It looks like they built a bridge to build a bridge. TFS

Cool pics Tim but that is a toy compared to kaiysho ...Japanese Sheerleg what a Monster was moving 3000 ton concrete cassions on a How is it made tv show !Not powered needs tugs to haul it around.
