Very nice paint!! A lot of time expended on that project. Is that a Holden in the background?

Great work Mitchtim, maybe I'm just imagining it but have you weathered the red tracks since the previous thread? I can't wait to see the Gaby machine finished, she has a really striking scheme! Rowan. 1:25th scale CAT 375L excavator

Hey Tim Your engineering skills are certainly evident with these two shovels that you have customised!! The 'Gaby Mine' shovel is looking exceptional and I look forward to seeing both 495HR's completed when I visit you in June. Please keep us all updated with your progress until completed! Cheers for now Brian C

It is a Holden VZ SS Ute for you Aussie guys.
Thanks all for the comments so far to those who have been interested in my work.
It is a real shame that this forum only is interested these days in posting or talking about rubbish rather than peoples creativity.....notice that Richard Fowler and Don Campbell dont show to much of their work any more because no one is showing interest.....is a real shame!

Hello Mitchtim, very fine work, my compliment. Thank you for the detailed pictures of the man lift. How does the real ones work? Will it be handle through a pull cord mounted on the shovel side or by another way? Best regards and keep on posting because there are many interesting people all over the world. Peter

Looks like its time for the Bucyrus assembly team to be flown in to complete the job and certify the machines ready for use! Those are both great looking models and nice repaint!! I love the added man lift-makes sense!

Hi Peter,
The manlift is operated from the same pull cord. It has a pneumatic hydraulic ram that operates the lift. That was a little difficult to make so I left it off as I wanted for the manlift to raise and lower.

Mitchtim, Its coming along nicely,,, well actually, they are both looking bloody great.,, I will have to get some of that blue off you so I can get the # 72 Escondida off the production line. I will have to have a look at them in the flesh one of these days,, hopefully I will have my Thompson Creek with red ropes and decals etc finished soon also.
Regards from down south

Very nice job on the two shovels. I personally like the red/white one a lot. Do you have any more 495-costoms coming soon?
