So did anyone notice that in 4 of the 8 photos there is actually a crane of some kind! Bob, Bob, Bob... Only he can go to a dirt factory and still sneak in a cookie or two! - Chris

Yes there were two cranes across the river at a foods manufacturing, one RT and one 2250 with a luffer on it. I only had the little pocket camera and zooming did not help, so sorry cranes guys. Maybe in a couple of weeks! I plan on making a few suggestions to Cat, especially in the paint booth. I plan on bringing some red and black paint and showing them them a few things! And I think there might be a way to salvage this D10 thing and add a boom to it and make it more, ah, functional. And ULF, those electrical power is why I was there!!!!

Does that trash blade in the foreground of all those parts/wooden crates go on a D8? That looks too small to be on one of those D10's. -Ryan

Bob quick buy a new crane and paint it red and black, that way all is right in the world. Crane guys of your standing can not risk offending the crane gods. All kidding aside nice photos, have fun on the next parts of the tours. Flickr Photostream

Excellent pictures Bob. Great work getting up close to that 10T, she sure looks puurdy. Does anyone know what those 2 filters are for, beside the cab? Looking forward to the future pictures from the plant tour! Rowan. 1:25th scale CAT 375L excavator

Rowen, it's for the cab A/C unit is what the aircleaner/filter is for next to the door. Bob, Bob, Bob, what are you going to do next, buy some dirt models??? Oh and where is your red shirt????? You know the one, it's got that elephant in the shape of an M on the right side in the front???? Nice shots though Bob, and be careful those "Cats" might bite the dirt side of you!!!!

I would say it was an upgrade from the condenser cooler shown in your pic Rowen, probably for the visibility thing.
Has anyone else notice the different track grouser in the sixth pic (the one looking up the track toward the cab)??? I also noticed the different sprocket guide in the second and third pics (the ones of the side of the machine) the holes appear to be solid where the rest are open.

It's where the tracks get joined. That is a coupling chain link with marker grouser. The other links need a large hydraulic ram to separate. Bob you need to get to A&E quickly. You need to see a doctor. I am very concerned about your health and particularly your state of mind.
