Edit 2: Bad news, I've missed the lift... I little misunderstanding... It was the night between monday and tuesday, not tuesday and wednesday. But after three weeks, they will also lift the bridge back again, so I hope to be there then!

Edit: Pictures added some posts below!

Today they have started to rig their TC 2800-1 just some kilometers from me. Tomorrow I will go with the workers to the place to see & take pics of the rigging of the boom!.

Lifting configuration:

78m main boom, no jib.
Maximum superlift (300t).

Weight of train bridge (which they are going to lift) : 90 metric tonnes (~100 tons).
Radius of where they are going to lift the bridge: ~60m, that's why they need max superlift.

And just so you don't forget how the crane looks likeWink :

One quick question...

Why does the a-frame of the TC say "CC-2800" not TC? I know they are identical be it a CC or TC. I was just wondering why it says CC and not TC? Think

Can't wait to see the pictures! Altho a TC-2800 would look sweet in Nordic colors too! this will be just as awesome!

I got the answer on that question some time ago, but I don't remember exactly the reason. Terex gave them a CC instead of the TC I think. But no problem, I can ask them today Wink

A Nordic crane livery would be cool yes, but it's not going to happen. They have chosen Liebherr and Tadano/Faun as mobile crane suppliers, that's why they have two LG 1750

I for one think the Nordic LG1750 is the best looking out there, that alone makes up for no TC2800 Smile.

Worked with our new TC2800 a couple of times now and it is a cracking crane, even lucky enough to get behind the levers, not lifted with it yet but I'm sure the time will come Smile.

Look forward to the pictures my man.

AFAIK it is because Havator got a TC-carrier with no superstructure, and fitted an existing CC-superstructure to it.
But why they did that, I do not know.

Here are some pictures of the first assembly of the crane: http://www.tekniknyheter.se/Havator%20Demag%20TC2800/HavatorDemagTC2800600Ton/index.html

Today was a really great day Teeth! I got there early in the morning and took a lot of pics, but later I started to help them rigging the crane (I got to borrow workwear of course). We rigged the superlift, and tomorrow we will finish the crane with 78m main boom.

Pictures will come in a few days

You are right about that, if you look in the pictures in the link you see that the superstructure is already used. I asked the driver today, but he didn't know Think I guess they did it to save cash. Before they bought the TC, they had 3x CC 2800.

Great photos! I have never seen the superlift heel section up close like that....I find it odd that the pivot point is not a closed circle for the pin to slide into.....It has some sort of collar that pins around the back side of it. I find that very interesting! Think Think

Thanks for the pics...

Thanks for the comment! Sadly I didn't take a detail picture of it, but the pins where the superlift attaches to the superstructure can't be pulled out, if I'm correct.

Your correct my friend, they are a fixed point as the the same axle the back mast pivots on is also one the A frame uses.
