lol That's the famous 336E, just look at the shape of the boom, it's so obvious it's the one from a 330. The 345E's aren't out yet. and yeah, I have a good source.

My eyes will have to disagree with your source. The vents for the radiator on the cab side are split down the center on the "349e" where as the 336 it's one continuous vent. And the engine cover sits a lot higher and blends into the counterweight more. It's got two more steps on the undercarriage too. As for the boom I think either the 345c or D was released with a third type of boom that curved differently so that the bucket and stick could curl in tighter and thus did not have to put the stick cylinder pin when transporting photo from Cat of the 336 photo from HEF of the "349" but I could be wrong to

The engine doesn't sit higher at all! it's just open my friend! (just kidding, don't take it seriously).
As for the engine pannels, changes could have been made, same thing for the steps on the undercarriage. One thing is 100%, this has never been and will never be the boom from a 345! I've been around and have taken so much pictures of 345's, I can swear to whatever you want that this is the exact same boom as a 330 L, 330B, 330C, 330D redline, 330D poweredge and 336D.
I'd also like to notice the fac that the 336E I posted along with the pics from DHS has a longer stick.. Which is also offered on the 330's. Just before someone points it as a difference.

Oh crap.. I didn't see these pics from Bauma... Well, I've seen some, but not this one.
Wait a second! It's just the counterweight who changes.

Wait a second! It's just the counterweight who changes. The whole right hand side of the machine is different, so is the hood. Sorry Antho, but I'm afraid you are mistaken here. Brian

Brian Just add about a feet and a half of black paint on the righ hand side and it doesn't look longer at all. Also, both undercarraige seem to have 10 bottom rollers. What would be the advantage to have the undercarriage of a 330 on a 345? Do you guys need a picture of a 345C or D to compare the shape of the boom?

look how it shapes upto the cover, the 336 shapes upto the top of the house and the 349 goes right to the engine cover and the 336 has more railings
