Hi! I found this crane yesterday, and since I am no good at the smaller Liebherr cranes I was hoping anyone here would help me IDing it? I think it is a LR1160, but I am not sure.

Im no expert by far but looks like a LR1100 to me. Dont flame me if I am wrong though! EDIT: One thing on it has convinced me it is the LR1100... Can anyone else see what it is that pretty much confirms it? How to search the forums

I'm Certainly not an expert either. Usually says on the side if the crane somewhere? Surprised this one does not. I think ya'll are on the right track regarding the size. However, I do like the little roller skates on the tip of the jib . Thanks for posting. Always enjoy looking.

I would say a 1280 seeing as the LR1100 is a telescopic Hydraulic crane and not a lattice boom!!!!
And no I don't see what you mean!!

It's not a 1280, the tracks are much smaller, it's a 1100 or 1130

I would say a LR 1130, it looks even to small to be a LR1160 Nice pics, get some more, if you can get close the serial plate is on the side of the cab, that would clear up all the guessing. Jason NIkl Scale Models

And no I don't see what you mean!! Two wrong 1280 looks very different, especially the crawlers. And LR 1100 is a lattice boom. What you are talking about is LTR 1100 LR: Liebherr Raupenkran LTR: Liebherr Telescopic Raupenkran Edit: This is what a 1280 looks like, compare the crawlers: Photo from www.olli80.de

Why is "phonetically" spelt with a "ph"?

The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

Here is some photo's of a LR1100 at the Docklands in Melbourne swinging pre stressed concrete piles. This may help or hinder. The ballast slab don't project from the side of this Lr1100. But the photo's post at the start are not a LR1280 as the configuration of the car body and cab are different. Wayne

Yup, I'd say 1160. It has different counterweights compared to 1100, and a little bit more counterweight than 1130.

That's impossible. Even the crane in your picture is not an 1130. The maximum counterweight an 1130 can have is 50,9t. Then it looks like this:

^^^^Ha, then I guess that is what I get for trusting the "internet" The Ulferts and Wittrock website only lists them having a 1130...but I couldn't read most of it... http://www.ulferts-wittrock.de/-Alvin.

Jason, thanks for the pics. If I compare the LR1160 in your pics with "my" crane then there are some diffrences.
And comparing to AlvinB's pics then I to belive it to be a 1130.

I still dont think its anything other than the 1100 Two things that I have seen on it now make me believe its the smaller model rather than one of its bigger brothers. No expert and would like to know for sure but as I said...my moneys on the 1100 Andy How to search the forums
