Gaz you're waaaay way off there,its an ac70 silly!!
a certain crane hire company was called in for the removal of a tower crane,as they couldn't get the quays at the Liffey closed for a bigger crane they used a small ac70 city crane,as anyone who has been to Dublin in around the Temple Bar area,tiny narrow streets,so they used the ac70 to get as close as possible,the section of boom on the hook block is 13 tonne,
they were too close and when they released the pins and began to slew,when the driver stopped the tower boom kept going and the tele jib took on this horrific bend what you see in the pic,a full 2 metres,a full complete evacuation of all shops and stores,no pubs as this was sunday morning(you'd have had a big job getting people to leave their pints behind),two 100 tonners were brought in to take the weight of the jib and remove it succesfully,the ac70 tele'd in with no problem,went back to the yard and awaited inspection by Terex,after full inspection over a few days the crane was back in action with no work done to it
