I don't come on here on the forums much these days, but after seeing this wonderful model, I just had to comment: Robert, what fine job you have done!! Of course, we want to see more pictures!! That model is detailed just like the real Gerosa Mack: Thanks for posting, brings back memories of seeing Gerosa green and red all over NYC back in the day.

Hello Robert, amazing work with outstanding details!!! Is your Gerosa Mack LRVSW selfmade or based on Dan´s planned Marino version of this primemover? Are the tires out of resin or rubber? Best regards Peter

Thanks Peter.
The truck was built using the EMD Mack LRVSW Quarry Dump kit as a base. I used the cab and chassis and tires/wheels from the kit. The tires are rubber. All of the other major components are scratch built along with the decals.
I first generated a CAD drawing using details from photos of the both the Gerosa and Marino versions of the truck and then went from there.

Gotta love scratch building!! We need more of it on the Forum. Very nicely done!!! BTW What kind of camera are you using?

Yep,
That came out very nice. Well done, as usual.
On a side note - I just had a chance to get an up close look at the real truck as it is today in Barnhart/Marino's yard. The front tires have been re-capped, but the side walls are still stamped "GEROSA".

Thanks again for the comments.
RI Craneman, I am using an Olympus C-5060 Wide Zoom camera. I am pretty much a novice when it comes to taking photos. The morning's natural light seems to really help though.
