Great looking crane! I thought they were not going to hit the states until July. Where did you find one?

I didn't make a reeving guide, I only pointed the right way to look (see thick arrow) at the NZG reeving guide Wink

yeah i did it that way, i first reeved it like i did the lr 1750 but once i got it all reeved, and tried to lower the mast, it was to difficult to move so i then reeved it without changing the direction on the first and last pulleys.

heres the 1750, you can see how the line changes direction on the first sheave and the last one, the lr1600 wont work like this, too much friction

Not really then... so from the winch you go directly to the outer scheeves 1 and 17 ?
Is that even possible with the A frame all the way backwards like in the LR 1750 picture?

What I meant is, for the real crane there's an obvious reason why the lines go sheeves 6 and 12 and not to 1 and 17: those are too far apart, the lines would go too diagonal(?)(not sure which word you normally use for that).
I wonder how much of a problem that is with the model when the lines get shorter (A frame to the back). I'll wait for pictures with the mast topped up Smile

i understand what you mean. it does do that but it doesnt cause a problem

finally got her all together, minus the hooks. this thing took more time than i thought to assemble, Think maybe cause i was taking so many photos during the process and all the tiny bolts. im getting rusty, assembling a crane usually doesnt take me more than 2-3 hrs, depending on the size.
oh well, here are some more photos, i will take her outside today, to get better detailed shots as long as it doesnt rain, and a liebherr group photo.

probably getting sick of all these 1600 pics by now..

supporting all that weight without tipping, the wagon is barely off the ground and not even extended!

Looking very nice Brandon.

Just in the process of assembling my 1600, not with a luffter.
Just main boom & derick mast. (SLD/BW)
I like the fact that the last section of main boom is a reducer section that allows the use of the smaller luffing boom sections.
So you can configure this crane model in many ways for display.

Trev.

LTR 1100 in 1:14 scale.
Cranes and trucks.
Any thing with a big engine & big tyres.......

Love'm all.

Impressive pics!

Amazing that you can actually lift the complete mast from the ground.
Couldn't try that with my LR 1300 with derrick, because there isn't enough rope on the winch.

yeah, i like that too, i will try it out one of these days, just wanted to get it all together first, then later on try it in different configurations. i did how ever switch up the big block, i took one side of pulleys off and off of the jib. dont really care to have a big block like that off the jib.

yeah its pretty impressive! my 1300 came with enough line to boom all the way down.
