Purchased from the internet: NZG Cat 312Bl very nice model, I am glad I decided to pull the trigger on this one. It is my first tracked Cat excavator model. Ertl 2954D also a very nice model. Has excellent detail, my only complaint is the unpainted rivets. Toy Show purchase: Diecast Promotions KramerAllard 580 good deal unable to pass it up twelve dollars and after seeing and handling the model I would have been happy to pay our host price as the the model is well detailed. picture quality is not the best, pictures were taken using my phone. Interesting I never noticed that before and I have seen pictures of the real thing several times. Chris have you purchased your Deere forestry models yet? Flickr Photostream

Odd isn't it! But yes, I finally have grabbed them. The big feller is my new favorite of the Ertl line. I wonder what 2011 will bring? - Chris

I think it's maybe the size of the rivets that make them stand out. The proportions of the real ones are a lot smaller.

Adam if the quality is the same on Feller Buncher as it is on the harvester then yes it is worth it. I plan on adding most of John Deere forestry line to my collection as I am able. Flickr Photostream

Nice haul, the 312bl is a great piece, a big stash of them came out of the woodworks, and are popping up everywhere, surprised dhs did not get any. I was thinking about getting the gehl/KramerAllard 580 for landscaping and street scrapes if I ever had a dio, looks like I might be adding it on my "to get list"

Yeah the 312bl is a great piece. I debated a long time about buying it but finally just said what the heck. It looks good with my other excavators and for its age is a nicely detailed piece. The little 580 was not something I had planned on getting I almost walked past it at the toy show but decided to check it out and for twelve dollars I decided I'd be stupid to pass it up. It has a nice all wheel steering set up and the interior detail is great. Flickr Photostream
