I posted a picture today of the Cat D-11T Dozer model I will begin in Feb. It shows me standing by it giving a idea of the size . After the D-11T I will build a model 5foot tall Cat 994F loader and then possibly a Cat excavator 5 foot tall . I'm sure these will be my favorite models of all the models I have ever built. www.doncampbellmodels.com

Don:

I keep watching the progress of that massive engine you're building on your website each day. Now, you are about to tackle that D11T and 994. Just curious (if you have an idea): how much are these creations going to weigh? That's a lot of steel you're playing with.

Always great to watch you work. Can't wait to see the engine when it is complete and really can't wait to see that D11T when you finish it.

Regards,

Rick

Really looking forward to the D11T and 994F! In relation to the D11T, the one that you posted a picture of on your page was actually an early, pre-production T model, heavily based off of the D11R model. I believe that CAT delayed the release of the T model in favor of an updated engine with better emissions. The most notable physical changes in the production versions were the re-arrangement of the exhaust / filters on the hood due to the updated engine, larger windows on the D11T cab and the change from the 'Red Stripe' decals to the 'Power Edge' ones. Many of the D11T's also come with the larger fuel tanks (Boxier shapes around the cab) and the safety grab rails which are factory options. I'm sure you have a vast collection of images but if your looking for more, feel free to ask.

Another pre-production D11T model...

Thanks Rick and Rowan , I like all the versions of the D-11 and the 994 , these are going to be awesome builds and will really look huge as they take shape in my little workshop . Not sure of the weight yet , but I will definatley be ordering many more of the 10x4 sheets of metal.
