After the thread of the Liebherr with a huge sand bucket I got a request for one for the hitachi 870. So I did this one at lunch at work the past few days I have it painted at home drying in a nice flat black. here it is before paint This was a harder build then it looks. The round lip was a pain the in @$$ and I custom built the main crossmember. I think the width of the stick on the 870 is 12mm so that is where the ears are located at. Here is the trench bucket These are custom orders and will not be cast. I might get a few new buckets for the Hitachi once mine gets here, but we'll have to see. I am just about done with a big build and then I will have more time to get going on some more smaller stuff. let me know what you think? Jason NIkl Scale Models

Nice work Jason, I always liked those sand buckets for some reason, they always look great on a older large sized excavators.

No they didn't look easy at all, unfortunatly don't expect any new bucket from me soon, I'm kinda busy building a boom and completing some bucket orders but as soon as I'm done I'll start building some new stuff, I can't wait!!!

Ok here are a few pics of the sand bucket painted. Not the best hard to get a good pic of a flat black bucket. I put the Liebherr 916 in the pic for size reference Can not wait to see it on the 870 now JAson NIkl Scale Models
