I suppose the ballast weights should have been the dead give away??? I knew it was not a 1280 and the bottom ballast tray was too thin for the 1200. Right? Bryce P.S. Well, I guess I know what my re-paint LR 1300 is going to be. I like the red on the ends of the boom sections.

Anytime man... I wish more people would contribute stuff like this... Although it may seem rather unimportant, it is very important to many people. Without these forums, so much of this stuff would never be seen. There is a vast amount of knowledge within these forums that is not obtainable anywhere else.

The red tip of the boom sections, It might be an old KR Wind crane. They were the only company I know of that paints the ends of the tips red.

Great pics, thanks to both of you. Anyone else find it kinda odd to see this thing all alone just sitting there?! Doesn't even appear like it has been driven, the grass is grown up all around it! ITW Security

Sorry Jason, no pics of the seiral plate. I don't think of stuff like that.
Bugman, that there is Oregon desert old growth grass and sagebrush! It quit growing years ago. They had just moved the crane into that spot on a Wednesday afternoon. I took the pics on a Friday.

@ DeWoc19, I was thinking the exact same thing and I was going to give JTL some crap for not cleaning the windows before he took the pics... after all, there is a bottle of Windex on the floor board. Notice the keys were in the ignition. I would have had that baby boomed up and possibly parked in another location. But, I am going to give JTL some slack since the pics are great. It always amazes me though, many pictures that I see of machinery are ruined because of a pallet leaned up against the machine, or maybe a ladder in the picture, or a pop can or coffee cup on the dash board. I wish photographers would take a little time just to remove simple items from the view area of the picture. Bryce

Sorry about the crappy windshield. I couldn't find any paper towels! I'm kinda surprized by the bird poo anyway. I forget how many time I've read or heard some enviromentalist wacko nutcase say that windfarms kill ALL the birds in the area.
