Nice job Steve. YCC parts really do add to an already great model I think.
You must have spent quite a lot of time filing down the CW nubs!

Paul R,as for the c/w's all I do do is use a sharp hobby knife and cut the paint away on the nubs down to bare metal just enough so that the tabs sit flush once glued on,doesn't take long, and yes ycc parts do make these models just that little bit better. My god it's going to be an expensive year with the luffers coming out and all the new releases, but at least they are spaced out over the rest of the year, gives you time to save or organize another credit card,Steve.

Looks great. I've got the Sarens version. I just ordered the YCC parts for it. I wasn't gonna get them till I saw yours. What did you use to cut the ladder parts off the spurs? Also, did you paint your cylinders or did you buy the painted ones? Thanks

Chris,as for the ladder sections I use a small pair of sprue cutting pliers, which you can buy at most hobby shops,as for the cylinders I bought the painted one's,I also have the sarens and I bought the ycc parts for it but had to send them back for repaint, ycc used the right sarens colour code for the parts but did not match what nzg had used on the model,so ycc repainted them and sent them back. I would much prefer to buy the unpainted cylinders and do it myself but can't get the right ral colours mixed up where I live, wish I could, because ycc don't etch prime before painting and what ever adhesive they use tends to be not very strong, because if you don't handle the cylinders with extreme care parts will fall off, then you have to re glue which looks unsightly if you don't have the right colour paint for touch up's,hope this helps,Steve.
