I'll shoot you a PM with a few dimensional details. EDIT: Hopefully Craig will chime in because I believe that there was a Mitsubishi equivalent. Rowan. 1:25th scale CAT 375L excavator

I thought that I had seen one in old HH&C, a quick search reveals it was a cat E450 machine on the west coast. Another interesting build for Brian. G

Hey Lads, I totally missed this one. Yep, there is a Mitsubishi equivalent designated the MS580. I have the cabins of both the E650 and the MS580 on my work bench at present. Will probably be using the 365BL as a base for them. Thanks for posting the pics Rowan, there were a few in there that I didn't have. I got a brochure of the E450 the other day, and I have also started making that from a 1/43 Kobelco SK330. I am working on that machine's cabin too, as it is almost exactly the same as the E650 and I am doing an MS480 too. Cheers, Craig The Caucasianaasian

Craig, I stumbled across this while doing a quick search but it looks like a CAT 245 to me? Do you have any images of the Misu MS580? http://www.alibaba.com/product-free/112509230/Mitsubishi_MS580/showimage.htmlRowan. 1:25th scale CAT 375L excavator

Mate, judging by the shape of the cabin, I would say that is a MS580. Essentially the body seems to be directly from a E or EL series CAT, even looking close to an old 245. The cabin looks to be similar in shape to the early KATO Hy-dig models or even the -2 Komatsus. Here are a couple of pics that I have of this mysterious beast. I really can not wait to finish it off. PS. Rowan, I'm pretty sure that the E650 would have been something built and marketed in Japan as the photos from the manual seem to show Japanese engineers demonstrating the operation and maintenance of the machine....indeed the photos themselves are very 70's, 80's and 90's Japanese brochure style pics. I would be interested to know if any CAT E650s were sold in the States or if there were any exported there from Japan. Cheers, Craig The Caucasianaasian
