We couldn't miss an opportunity to see the beast while she is on Irish soil so myself, Gus and our designated driver Darren hit off on a road trip to West Limerick today in search of McNallys LTM11200. A 'little' surprise also awaited us on our arrival in the form of a fairly new LTM1500 which was working on a different wind farm site. Gus's extremely poor navigation skills added to his terrible impatience meant that we had quite a bit of searching to do to find the 112, but we found it in the end! Here's a few quick pics for tonight, i'll upload more tomorrow.

The old meets the new, something lurking in the distance..

Something a little smaller (any other day this would be a monster to us)..

I'll post some more tomorrow, hope you like.

Super shots there Homer,

the first one is pic of the day by far,its a sign,a future warning perhaps for those of us who collect crane models,as bigger and better models are coming we will have to break holes in our roofs Teeth (incidently was this house for sale??)

I bet for a moment you believed me when I joked the 112 was back in the yard in Dublin lol Teeth Teeth Cool

Glad you guys got to see her in the flesh as who knows when she will be back or where she will be when this job finishes

Maybe a period of time spent apart for eachother might be good Wink Teeth Teeth

The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

Thanks guys, it was well worth the added journey time in the end, we might never get a chance to see an LTM11200 again. Although I dont think gus thought it was worth it, I think his interest in large cranes is fading, all he wanted to do was head for Aylwards yard in County Laois to get more pics to use for his custom model Wink Darren and myself on the other hand weren't leaving til we found it!!

Here's another few snaps..

Graham, I left those to Darren, he's also our designated dirt guy Teeth My mind was too preoccupied with other stuff as you can imagine! There was an old krupp crane there too, it looked like an old G O'Brien crane, I think gus got a pic of it he might be able to post it.

David they were taken in two different locations near Newcastle West. The 1500 was in a place called Ardagh and the 11200 was at the opposite side of Newcastle West in an area called Broadford.
