I finally got a Demag TC2000 1/50, i preordered it last year, and now i have it...in 1000 pieces!!! Ok, i remember i read once here on the forum that the CC and TC was NOT (caps was used...i think) an easy model to assemble, well, i got the CC2000 last year, and i could see that it was put together with a fair amount of pieces, but didnt looked quite overwhelming. But the CC2000 has tracks, the TC2000 doesnt have tracks, it have a truck undercarrier, with more parts than the crane itself Here is what i got, im still trying to get my jaw back in the right place after opening the box: The assemble drawing (or whatever its called ) looks a bit messy, but i can handle this, im just wondering about what kind of glue i should use, and i was thinking that some1 here could suggest a good one to use? But im not gonna use the van seumeren decals tho, i want it in another livery.

Well, that certainly looks like fun... How much boom comes with the kit? Can you order extra sections?

Think of the money you will save at the bar. I use cyanoacrylate glue, basically bulk superglue for my projects. Thanks G

ulf: Yea, its gonna be fun, and probably some frustration haha 2 sections comes with the crane, and that aint much, 1 extra sections cost 17 euro, but is not avaible atm :( and a new complete boom cost 101 euro. But i have a friend who can maybe make me a copy of the entire boom, but in iron instead, i hate this plastic boom, i already broken off some of the place where you need to pin em together :S
Gd10r: Ah, i know that kind of glue, i will find some of that, thanks.

Regarding choice of paint, then you have to decide, if you paint before or after glueing the parts together. Some types of "sekundlim" eats the paint, and resin parts cannot be glued with any type of glue.
I would recommend a 2 component Epoxy - Danalim makes a good one.

I would recommend a 2 component Epoxy - Danalim makes a good one. Im have a tube of Danalim, and another tube i got when i bought a plastic model of a tank i had to assemble myself, so i will use that for the boom section, i guess thats the resin parts there is. I not sure in wich order to paint and glue, i guess it will be a mix of it, but im gonna need some other decals, and havent got a printer for making em yet, so i guess i will have to get em somewhere on the net.

Sadly ive desided to sell this model, its not been collected yet, but bills are piling up, so it must go, i will put it on ebay in a few days, see if there is any buyers. thats sad tho, but better have some electricity, than a boxed crane in 1000 pieces

Myggen wrote:Sadly ive desided to sell this model, bla bla bla No i havent i redesided, i wanna put it togheter before i sell it, then it also should be worth more i hope. I will post pictures of the process, starting with these: it makes alot of dirty stuff all over the place. Already ran into the first problem, one outrigger screw is "screwed", so i cant screw it into the bolt, i have to cut of ½ cm ot some. But i have to wait 14 days to get the paint for it :/, i just gonna paint it in mammoet colors

Hi It's not to hard to assemble it only takes a lot of time. I build the cc many years ago and sold it 2 years ago , but i think a complete unopened kit is worth more than a build version. People are always looking for another color then the one you are selling and it's a disaster to transport this crane in a build version. For the glue i also recommend 2 component Epoxy and not cyanoacrylate glue , i like the bison 2k epoxy ( red version hardened in 30 minutes ) Eef
