After some down time sorting out a crashed hard drive and getting a newer Cad program that is compatible with Windows 7. I managed to get some done this weekend on some of the suspension rope sheaves. I still need to make some brackets that'll get attached to the boom chords that will hold the small shackles I made up. I also got all the 240 feet of 3/64'' wire rope needed to reeve the boom. Steps for making a shackle: Turn a 3/8'' sq. If everything goes together as planned; I'll be taking the dragline out to Lakeside Sand and Gravel (Mantua,OH.) on May 8th. for their annual open house. Then weather permitting; I'll be taking it to our steam show;National Pike Steam Horse and Gas Asoc. (Brownsville,PA.) May 20-22 there will be another guy there with his RC Doepke Unit crane converted to a dragline, a Bruder Cat skid steer operating also he has a 60's vintage Tonka dump and a Mack Granite tandem trucks to load and haul dirt. This stuff is all 1/16th scale. 9W Walking Dragline Build Links:http://www.rctruckandconstruction.com/showthread.php?t=117Scale 4x4 RC Buildhttp://www.youtube.com/user/Scentlessapprentice9?feature=mhee#p/u/9/59FR27c9BwEhttp://imageshack.us/user/caffco

Sure is a cool model. Outstanding job and the craftsman ship / machining to match. I don't get to travel much but if I did .That would be on my list.

Looking great Steve. Hope this weather straightens out one of these days so that the weather is good for Brownsville.

I've been working on the boom alot lately and finally I got the safety rope brackets made and fastened to the boom. I hope to raise the boom this week with the $180 worth of wire rope I bought. It's going to take about 230 feet of wire to reeve. Those Lego tires seem to be the correct scale so I'll wire them on the top. 9W Walking Dragline Build Links:http://www.rctruckandconstruction.com/showthread.php?t=117Scale 4x4 RC Buildhttp://www.youtube.com/user/Scentlessapprentice9?feature=mhee#p/u/9/59FR27c9BwEhttp://imageshack.us/user/caffco
