The detail is amazing Huge bucket Here is where I made a spot for the big beast to rest, right next to the LTM 11200 The best part, the LED lighting, kind of hard to get a pic, I will have to get a tripod and manually adjust shutter speed What a great model very much worth the wait. Thanks for viewing Let me know if you want any specific pics JAson NIkl Scale Models

Congrats Jason! I know you've waited a long time for it. Probably your crown jewel of your collection , looks very nice, I'm not big on mining equipment but it looks awesome!

Nice model Jason, I know you have been waiting awhile for her. Now you need to break it down and do an assembly dio with your LTM1300 lol.

I too am jealous you have yours. Nice pictures. Do you have a truck to put under it? Also did you have any trouble with the keys?

hummer13,
Have you had any problems with the hoist mechanism? Another forum member posted on here that it was extremely sensitive and had a tendency to just drop. Also, does the crowd really work? On the TWH website it states that the crowd is key operated, but in all the photos I've seen of this model the dipper stick was fully extended???

Fantastic post Jason, loved following your package opening. I'd love to see a close up of the top deck if you get a chance, looks to be highly detailed and full of grating, walkways, handrails etc. Thanks for posting, appears it was worth the wait. Do you plan on adding any more mining machines to the collection anytime soon? Rowan. 1:25th scale CAT 375L excavator

How do you tell your son not to play with all those delicate toys I know when my boys were that young almost 20yrs ago, it was tough to convince them I do have a couple NZG and Conrad models that are broken up some from hard use. You better build yourself some storage cases. That will make dusting the models a thing of the past. 9W Walking Dragline Build Links:http://www.rctruckandconstruction.com/showthread.php?t=117Scale 4x4 RC Buildhttp://www.youtube.com/user/Scentlessapprentice9?feature=mhee#p/u/9/59FR27c9BwEhttp://imageshack.us/user/caffco

Well I have to admit it is not beer it is some fancy soda water the wife picked up at Costco. Pretty good too...As for the crowd mechanism it works great for the control but it does not hold in place. If you crowd in the arm waants to creep back out. The key on mine is a very tight fit. You have to push in the key to engage the winch, kind of a tricky thing at first but once you know what you are doing it works great. As for my kids touching my models they know better then not to touch them, even my 20 month old. He come close sometime but I just have to remind him. He learned not to touch them after he pulled my Terex Rt130 over ontop of him self, full boom and jib. Gave him alittle bump on the head and broke 2 of the out rigger pads. I still need to contact NZG for some replacments. I will get some more close ups tonight after work. One thing I did do this morning when the house was completely dark was turn on the lights on the model, what an awesome addition to the model. Really puts it over the top. Jason NIkl Scale Models

Man! Where's mine??
Seriously, you probably need a strategy for protecting your models. You may be able to train your kids, but not their friends, and accidents do happen. You might just build a case around them (you'll have to lower the cranes though).

That thing is awesome. Love the lights. They should offer that more. Kitty is completely unimpressed though. He was hoping for Iams.
