This is my first attempt at repainting a crane. It's not perfect, but good enough for me. Need to finish up the boom ends and a few detail parts. Also going to get brass pulleys. Then the decals and its done. I'd like to thank Bob (bobm2004) for all his help and advice, Thanks

Thanks! I don't think I'd have the patience to paint a lg1550 though Brandon! I barley made it through this! I had to repaint the body three time till I was happy with it.

I had the standard version and it had paint chips all over it. It needed to be repainted anyways.

Understood ! Just a thought, repaint to sarens or other local liveries will fetch higher value in term of collectibility. The Mammoet one seem like not many sought after... You can still find it at most modelshop. Just my $0.02 thought.

Chris, look into my eyes, deep into my eyes......d'oh! d'oh!

Oh no, I, I see a miniature Bobm2004 in your head,..and he has a couple of spray cans, .. 1 can is a RED and the other is BLACK!!!!

I also understand from medical people that once this mini is implanted their is NO hope for a cure and you will see everthing in RED and BLACK for the rest of your life!!!

BE AFRAID, VERY AFRAID!!!

Awe just kidding (I thinkThink Think ), nice repaint Chris, can't wait to see it finished. I really like the 1280s too!!!

****************ATTENTION ALL READERS****************

Chris (thd56) is in need of an immediate INTERVENTION!!!!!!

He needs to be Exorcised of the red and black demon before his whole fleet is repainted!!!

Can anyone please help (except Bobm2004)????? Quick someone call the Green Lantern or Green Hornet!!! Send out the Bat Signal!!!

Oh wait it was almost a dream, sorry about getting carried away!!

Yes there are a lot of nice looking equipment out there that is red and black, I have to admit that and thanks to Bobm2004 there are a lot more nice looking trucks and cranes!!

Keep up the good work Chris and I hope I haven't offended you or Bobm with my humor!!!Wink Wink

Not offended at all. I wish you were there in the beginning before I got bit by the Mammoet! Thanks everyone for all the great comments. I'll post more pics when it's done.

Chris, just put the crane down.... that's it, nice and gentile.... oh good, there it's back down!!

Now take that red and black paint and put that down too...GENTLY.. we don't want that stuff going off prematurely or ALL your stuff will be those colors!!

Ok now go to the phone and dial 911 and ask for the paintbomb squad to come and remove those active cans to a safe place. Tell them they need to use Thermite to destroy them as that will generate enough heat to render them useless.

NO, NO don't use that cell phone, that could set them off!!! I think that's what happened at Bobm2004's house, I mean everything he has shown is red and black!!

OK, that's good, now go get yourself a nice cold Coca Cola.... Oh wait that's in a red can, uh, er,uh get a Pepsi, that's in a blue can, whew!!d'oh! d'oh! d'oh!

Can't wait Chris, it really should look nice!! Who's the next victim??? Uh, candidate for repaint!!
