I always liked this customer model from Komatsu. Bridestone paid for the tires and MTU financed the engine (I think it is pewter). Komatsu covered the rest of the project. I had a couple of them over the years, but only have one in my collection at the moment. When I would make trips to the Peoria plant concerning the work I did for KMS at the time, there was usually one of these in the gift shop on display (the shop is gone now). If one was damaged, it was a real problem to get it repaired. If I remember correctly, I do not believe the entire SN run was ever completed. Problems in its production ended the project. I think only about 160 or so were eventually built. At least that is how I remember it from around 1997.
