I decided to get the D11R one now at my Cat dealership, it has 92 pieces. Cost me $33 when the assembled one costs $62, I got a good deal Teeth I am repainting all the cylinder casings black along with the top of the engine housing. I will post some pics when its fully finished.

Great find, and deal, the good thing about this kit is that you can break the dozer down for transport, and would look good on a lowboy.

Thanks. That's one of the reasons I bought this one, you can modify them and strip them down for transport.

I would say for repaints as well, as the whole thing breaks down without breaking!!

Looks great, good job. I have to say I think I'd prefer it if most manufacturers supplied their models in kit form. I suppose it might increase costs in some respects but assembling the model yourself is a lot more satisfying and would avoid some of the quality control issues arising from poor model assembly that I've seen cropping up over the last few years. Just think, no more bent railings (in theory...!)
