Built this nice little chain storage box while we were without power from the hurricane. It took six days to get the power back on. I also took some neat candle lit photos of the gantry.





I made inspection tags for the lift chains.

Box looks awesome Tom. How did you do the damaged rusty look on the top edge?

Jack, I use a small 30 watt soldering iron to distress the plastic. The small heat output is perfect for making dents and other marks. Then, I painted the whole box with the color "Steel", dabbed on some dark green paint and lightly highlighted the dents with "Rust" and black paint.

Will this storage box make it onto the gantry somewhere? Looks great, very clever little idea.
