Hi All,

After the Van Vliet ZX870 is done. I have a ZX1000K 2 piece boom left over.
And I transformed the WSI 870 into the Nabekai ZX1000 K

Hope you like it!

That's awesome! Are you using styrene for collets on the hoses?

Great work on the piping! Perhaps you could use some loosely wound blue electrical tape on the hoses to simulate the covering like on the real machine? Excellent work.

Though not exactly the same type of hose covering, That is what I used on my Hitachi 870 (only Orange tape) . cut a narrow strip and wrapped it tight around the hose. had to glue the ends to keep it from peeling up but the rest holds well. To simulate the fabric type covering I would think a miniature fire hose would work well, PSME sells very small fire hose that I have been considering for this exact purpose, though have not ordered it to see exactly how small it is... or another idea could be fabric type Band-aids dyed blue?

Eric, & Rowan,

I thought about that way too. However, tape this to all hoses on the machine will be a big pain,,,,LOL

For now those hoses are not glued in place yet. Maybe I can give it try. Let me go homedepot and see if I can find anything. =]

Eric, that shear looks good. modified from your shear?

Yes sir! based on spec sheets from LaBounty, the 870 is a perfect carrier for the 9500 shear, but only as a non-rotating version, the rotator assembly adds so much weight, and working range that it requires the next class up for a carrier.

ran one on a Cat 375, that was just a little bit too much for the machine, but the 870 has a little more weight behind it
