Hi all, even though it will probably never leave my house, I have always had the idea of displaying my CAT 375L in the back lot of a dealership either off the line or have being recently re-built. I have a polystyrene base, scrape in a few bucket and track marks for detail and I think I'm getting pretty close. Like car shows, I would like a small placard behind the model and I've come to the conclusion that I don't really have any really good shots of the entire machine. I built it off the first generation CAT 375L specs (sharp edges paint cab - and different door handle location) and most of the 'fresh paint' CAT 375' pics I have are of ME models, I was just wondering if anyone had any other great shots of the standard configuration model? PS. If anyone has the font that CAT uses for the model numbers, that would be great. PS, I have all of the images from the US and GERMAN pdf files, CAT 375LBasic layout - Placard in the blue.Best so far...(even in ME config)An early model with the sharp edge paint on the cab, the same paint my model will get.A great shot but it has updated decals on the boom, some pretty serious wear plates on the bucket. These 4 shots are great pictures but they are all of the ME spec. Are you looking for "in action" shots or are you looking for detail images for model building? This exact 375l (shown at an earlier project) is currently sitting about 2 miles from me. If you need detail/walk around shots I just might be able to help out! Let me know if there is anything that I can do. I did upgrade all my memory cards at the "Black Friday" sales yesterday... - Chris EDIT: Just re-read your initial post. Yea, this one is pretty well used for what you're looking for.

Hi Chris, I don't want you to go out of your way and thanks for the offer. If you do head back, any images would be helpful, the Aussie summer is setting in and I have a lot of detail I want to finish before first paint. It's 6 years in the making now, probably wont be in paint for another 5 haha. I've always been interested in the filter placement on the 375's, a 'pop up' like on this machine is generally a European setup and many of the later 375's came with a 'bump' in the engine cover similar to the 365's to accommodate extra mufflers and emissions stuff. Any images are appreciated mate, cheers! Rowan. 1:25th scale CAT 375L excavator

The other thing I was considering was implanting one of these in back of the machine. I have a detachable counterweight and I know it's the wrong motor, about 2.5 times more powerful and lots more cylinders than required however behind all of the bracing, it might look good? It looks like my best option for a motor in 1:25 at the moment, even the truck resin motor forums couldn't help me. Can anyone please give me dimensions for A, B and C? A bit of plumbing and it might look OK? Rowan. 1:25th scale CAT 375L excavator

If it will help out I'm all for it. The thing is literally in the neighborhood. PM me a "wish list" of areas, otherwise I'll just detail the thing for you. - Chris

Eric, speaking of third member shears on a 375, love my one that's on mine now, it has to be my favorite model, I bought the shear from you when you first released them and sold them at IMCATS 2009.

Thanks everyone for the images! Eric, that is something I hadn't thought of. Interesting... thanks for the thought, I may be in contact sometime in the future Rowan. 1:25th scale CAT 375L excavator
