Damiano Indeed, this is one impressive model and it looks huge. I love the black window guard too. I didn't realise the back ballast was hollow, as seen in the first photo. May I ask how you would rate the model?. Is it as good as it looks?.

Super series of pics there,really shows you how many wagons would have to lug her about, I incidently figured out a really quick way of disassembling her,although it may not be assemble-able afterwards Paul this is a super model,its not as detailed as the WSI 870 but it is alot more durable,and then when you buy one get straight on to Gaz Evans
Why is "phonetically" spelt with a "ph"? ... It's better to be silent and thought a fool, then to speak up and remove all doubt The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

@Rowen: Thanks. I to would love to see a boom like this on the 870, would look pretty cool.
@daemi1: Thanks!
@thorleif: The back counter weight is hollow, but they supply you with weights that you drop in there, you can see them in the first picture on the Mack flatbed in bottom right corner.
I rate this model a 9 out of 10, not giving a full 10 only because of the detail level, WSI's 870 beats this model with detail. Other then that this model is outstanding!! 100% worth the price. I didn't think it was going to be that great, but once you get your hands on it, they never come off it.
@gbarnewall: Thanks!
Lol.

Ah, yes I see what you mean. I did notice them but it's only dawned on me how it works. 9/10 is a great score!. Yeh Noel, it does look mean but would I prefer the smaller but more detailed 870 or this slightly less detailed but a big beast 1000K !.

Oh , for some reason I thought the 870 was slightly smaller. That's very interesting though, and it means I don't have to think about size if I decide to buy one sometime.

Nice set of pics. Is that the bucket from the 870? Do the pins from 870 fit into the 1000k or did you have to drill hole out more with rivits? Probably just to better distinguish between the machines which makes sense, once you start to get into the bigger demo machines, the bodies sheet metal and cab are about all that remains from the base excavator. Even the ZX1800K uses parts from the ZX870, just highly modified.
