I've seen a few of these machines labelled as 'SERIES III' dozers in Australia (photos a few years old). Were these machines implementing newer emissions before the T series or just trigger happy dealerships? Mine guys? Any info would be appreciated. I'm getting a custom model built and I was curious about the decals.... Rowan. 1:25th scale CAT 375L excavator

I wonder if it is the change from 9TR to 7PZ serial No. family.....Gav??? Having said that I have never seen that on NEW Cat machines but will be happily proven wrong!

This was an initiative of a dealer north of us to identify the 3 different s/n prefix D11R model machines comprising the 8ZR, 9TR & 7PZ.
There are plenty of other ways to distinguish them if you know what you are looking for ie the 8ZR has a ball and cap set up connecting the barrel end of the ripper tilt cylinder to the main frame instead of a straight pin and the 9TR has parallel bottom on each side fender to the top of the fender where as the 8ZR has it slightly angled like the D11N before it, The 7PZ has larger engine bay doors that have a an extended piece in them to accomadate the larger air filter cannisters just to name a few things.
So i spose it is just easier to give em a 1 ,2 & 3 designation!!

That bulldozer means business. Four shank ripper ? Didn't someone post this same model recently ? Sure would be a nice model to own.

Possibly yes, but carrier rollers seem to pop up everywhere these days, funny thing is ESD tractors were fine without them for 20+ years and now we all need another wearing component in the undercarriage, not to mention it adds 1 decibal to the spectator noise!

Hump Kit was not standard on the early 7PZ tractors, came around 1200-1300 or so in late 2007 or 2008 standard as the special instruction was released from my memory.

Well if you follow the logic that the std first model D11R, an 8ZR machine was a series 1 and there is a 9XR & AAF s/n D11R CD then there would be a series 1 and 2 going by the way HD do there thing, the Norscot would reflect a series 1
