Ed (allisoes) asked me in my lifting cable thread what size shackles would look good with them. Well, none of the YCC shackles are big enough so, I decided to try and make a large shackle like the ones that Tim posted. The shackle I made is just for feasibility purposes. It is still not big enough and, I was limited by the size of styrene plastic I had on hand. It was pretty straight forward work. Here's some photos:
