mitchtim, I re-sized the photos you posted so they could be more easily viewed. I also would like to see scale models of these machines; but from CCM, not Norscot. Please use this before clicking "post"??? You may be surprised with what you see!

I worry that Caterpillar is going for a monopoly in the mining industry. Some mergers or buyouts need to take place among some of the competitors (Komatsu, P&H, Liebherr, Letourneau, and Hitachi) to keep from being beat out by Caterpillar deep pockets.

I neglected to say thanks in my previous post. 'Sorry about that. Thanks for sharing and for the large file also as I've saved it as my desktop background. It's given me incentive to eliminate a lot of icons, merge files, etc. Thanks for that too! Please use this before clicking "post"??? You may be surprised with what you see!

Thanks for posting those images for us mining equip enthusiasts Tim!!! Cat mining shovels are being delivered at an alarming rate now and I believe they are now in the lead with market sales for this year and most likely next year and beyond!!! Didn't take long did it?
In terms of models,I am very keen to see what could become of the former Bucyrus mining models manufactured by TWH and BYMO,now that they are under the Cat and Unit Rig brands......

Yesterday I went to Singleton for a guided tour of the mines (which cost me over $ 200 ) but practically I didn't see anything iof nteresting =>:-< . Only few and bad pictures and the equipment branches.... I wanted to ask if anyone on this forum that can help me make a visit any mine site to the Hunter Valley next week, to take better pictures than I could do yesterday. Unfortunately, returning to Italy February 9 and I would be really sad not to have good pictures of the mines ....! if anyone wants to help me out I would be very grateful .... Thank you....

Vincenzo, It looks to small for 797, so my guess will be 793F, Maybe Gavin84W can help us out. Did you go for a run around Mt Thorely and explore?
