Last week we took a EH700 to the site to help the hauling of dirt since this way EFC will have two haulers: D350D and EH700. I got a call Monday morning from the site manager complaining about the front axle of the Euclid truck sinking into the ground when loaded. Since we are in the middle of a 2 month drought I knew it was not muddy and went to the site to see what was the problem. Here is what I pulled up to see...It is pretty easy to deduct what the problem is.

This emoticon works well for thisd'oh! d'oh! d'oh! d'oh! d'oh! d'oh! d'oh! d'oh! d'oh!

Meanwhile the D350D was operating just fine since the crew knew how to properly load that truck.

LOL! You crack me up. It is the way though. If it's not spilling off all sides add another scoop.

This stockpile is growing quite large as the excavation grows in size.

Now that the crew has been educated one loading trucks 101 the EH700 and its operator can go back to work.

I also just realized that these models had working suspension.

Guiding the heavy 365C across a trench.

Part of this project includes removing the old overflow pipes the collapsed and filled with sediment.

The 450 and 365 make a great team for removing old culverts.

Need to make sure that the workers are safe.

These pipes got buried under several feet of sediment during the dam collapse.

Now to just check on the other two operators. Dozer man looks like he is keeping a handle on the spoil pile

And the loader man is keeping up with the constant demand for things from the stock piles.

Heck, when I pulled up there was still a little bit of dirt dribbling off the sides. What makes even less sense is that I told the site manager to load that truck with about the same number of passes as the D350D since they are similar capacities. I guess it did not click. Not talking

Did you ever find the big Komatsu excavator or do you think it ended up somewhere on the west coast?
