Awesome pics! For some reason I only like the 349EL, all the other E-Series models look terrible.
Its a disgrace to see the spray paint crap on the 345, stupid kids...

Nice pics Vin. Those 345cl's don't look too bad, I have seen a lot worse especially in Philly.

I was thinking it's the biggest (weight escapes me at the moment) counterweight you can get for a 345c, only cause they bolt holes for the C models line up diffferently than the B models. They are much boxier than the ones typically seen. Nice pics, shame about the graffiti...

Yup, like Jim said, it's the heavier counterweight for the 345C's, it was also available for the D series. I think one was around 7 tons and the other was 9 tons, but that's just a stab in the dark I couldn't tell you the real numbers. I don't know who's the contractor, but I almost dropped a tear knowing the counterweight on the 349 would probably soon look like their 345C's... Looks like they needed to whipe their a$$!

Those numbers sound about right. I think the 9 ton one does not come with the removal device for some reason, but that's just MY stab in the dark. Polishing the counterweights with whatever is in the way hurts me too, some people contend it's just paint, can't waste time looking where we are swinging. My counter is always, what if that was a person, or something you SHOULDN'T be swinging into? I figure always know where your rear is, so when it is important, it's second nature to keep an eye on things. But, that's just my 1.5 cents.

And some guys really take pride in the look of their machine, they're proud to say it's clean and they're proud to keep it as new as possible. A friend of mine was almost shy when he showed me the scratch on the back of his 345D after he rubbed against a stump he thought he cleared. Try finding it just for fun...

Looks like the scratch is on the bottom right side of the counter weight?

It's a Garier XHD-series bucket. The 345 is only 200 hours old, maybe the bucket was on an older 345 before. They have 6 of them, they must've switched buckets one day. I agree the teeth look short a bit..
