I've been asked to do a set of counterweights for the Grove GMK7550. Not being into cranes, maybe some crane guys can help. Photos of the pieces of the counterweight would be great. Also, in the photos I have collected so far, there are 4 large/wide counterweights, then it goes to the smaller ones. The ones that are smaller/narrower, they appear to be long. (Yes or no?) Thanks in advance and I will have more questions.

Thanks!

I don't have what you need, but if you produce the upper smaller weights I will take a set. NZG never made those.

Thanks, Mark

Me too! Also the cheek weights would be extremely nice.

Jeff, I would be more than happy to do cheek weights. What exactly are they? Also, any photos?

Thanks!

Jason, since you posted the drawings, it became clear to my what they are. (Little slow the last few days)

Dave, its just one small crane project. No big expenisve cranes have showed up at the front door....yet. Although, I have enjoyed learning about cranes the little bit I have over the last couple days with this project.

The first CAD drawing for the right counterweight is almost done. It will be tested out first before finishing the rest of the drawings for the others.

Appreciate all the teachings and photos!

Hey guys,

Long time no update. So the first prototype came in a week or so ago and I got the photos but never took the time to update the thread. Thing turned out good, however, I need to change one thing on it to get it to fit. Also, this one will be the one on the bottom. It is set up to match up with the tray on the bottom and then on the top, go to the correct nubs.

I've also been improving my metal casting techniques so the counterweights can be dead on.

Stay tuned for more! Last day of school is the 25th of this month.

Colter,
