Timberline Thinning Company has recently been looking for a bigger piece of land to have a yard and shop and still have enough space to park everything. We went and looked at a chunk of land and ended up buying it.

The access road is so bad we will have to put work into it just to get some equipment onto the property.

It had the dodge flexed out pretty bad a couple times.
We had to unload the 7 on the highway but it's finally here.

The Dirty 3 Thirty was only a few miles down the road so we brought it in to help get our new property accessible.

Working around the corner with the 7. Time for a fluid change.

More photos to come as work progresses. Sorry about the photo quality. The computer is on the fritz d'oh! and I don't have the coinage for a new one right now.

Hopefully one of our mechanical cutters will be done with the jobs they're on soon so we can cut the right of way for the road.

Too bad Timber Ridge wasnt closer, they would deff lease TTC one or a couple mulchers, That would make short work of the right-a-way...depending on the timber size though the ol 843 and its FECON might no like a 30" pine lol. Looks cool cant wait to see more.

So we have been at Disneyland for a while but finally returned to get some work done. The 330 just finished up a small job about an hour away so we outlawed it down the road in the wee hours of the morning. DOT thinks 2:00am is a late night around here.

Starting into the scrub timber.

Done for the day and the weekend. Since this is a company job were going to train one of out newer operators on the waratah. We won't be getting normal production on anything but you've got to train people sometime.

Thanks Chet! I think I'm going to wait to complete the work on the dio until I can get a computer. Looked at the pics on a friends computer today and the photos are a huge let down to say the least.

More progress photos.

We have gotten a little more done with the right of way cutting and we brought in the road builder to start benching in the road.

We have made common practice of blocking any new road construction until we start laying rock or loading out wood. There are just too many scum bags running around the woods these days.

This time the operators got the best of our mechanic. He had been looking for that come for two hours.

Finally found some flat ground to park the shovel on.

More to come hopefully tomorrow.

Ok guys. Been away from this for a while. Here's what has been going on.

We got some road pushed out with the old 7.

It did nothing but rain here all last week but we thought we could push through. What a mess.

Decided we needed another small blade on site.

Working the lower road with the new 7.

We found some big wood in this piece that the whole crew is pretty proud of.

Started cutting the upper piece with the 330 and the waratah.

All the cut material from the upper road has to be moved out.

Just had time to catch the first and last loads off the dirt mound.

Stackin' it up like chord wood with the Deere shovel.

More to come tomorrow.

We ended up getting a new 323Dl with a fecon head. We're hoping we can start getting some contracts with the local power company clearing brush from under the power lines.

Thanks Chris. You did a great job building that stuff. All I had to do was put it together.

Had some problems with the waratah today.

The mechanic had to call a couple guys from Waratah to finally get the electrical problems figured out.

Thanks. Im thinking about putting catwalks on my mulcher, dont think i need the guarding like you have, maybe for the road builder though. It sure does make it look vicous.

Yeah, the guarding is a little excessive haha. But I have been looking at quite a bit of BC logging equipment online and those guys are all about extra tinware protection and ground clearance.
