They alright for that size unlike the smaller size machine which looks like technology from the Hibriu outer space. These E series just don't seem to me for this time more the year 2220 but cat likes to look into the future. Can't wait to see closer pics of them with decals.

Excellent find! I would say that they are both 374E's, the height on the engine cover just comes too far towards the cab and the entire body doesn't appear long enough to be a 390 in my opinion. I would love if it was a 390 though, interesting to see how the new cab alters the image of the machine. Rowan. 1:25th scale CAT 375L excavator

Rowan. Keep in mind Rowan, there is bound to be much larger or completely different engine covers. If they are taller too, it will make it look like it's shorter than it really is, just like the 336d-336e and the 345d - 349e. It looks like the one on the right has two boom lights per side, which would say its a 390. Course I guess there's nothing saying a 374e doesn't have 4 boom lights like the 390's. Clearly the issue here is, we need more photos

The 365's and 374's boom was plain at the bottom, like any smaller size machines when the 375's, 85's and 90's have this half-circle cut the the bottom of the boom. Both machines' engines were also pretty much as high as each other on the C and D serie, it will probably be the case again with the E series. My guess would be 374E on the left, 390E on the right. Just to picture my thoughts, as I lack pics of 390's, a 385 will do.

im going to ay the machine is a 374 e..i was fortunate to put a few hundred hours on a new 390dl and the back end of the machine is much longer than the 374. heres a side shot i took of the machine while sloping the bank of the canal..rough cutting in the maintanance road and sloping the bank up to the bog all in 1 shot.

Antho your correct in pointing out the land mark so is Jimi as this is how you distinguish a 374 from a 390. As the boom base on the 390/385 uses to pins on the base due to the U shape design while the 374 base is 1 long pin for thr boom base design. So Rowan sorry you opted out on this one however good obsevation as they have change up a lot judging from the pics.

Just to add, it looks like the E has two vented compartments like the 385/390. Like I said earlier, I think the engine shroud just sits higher making them look shorter. Good call on the boom pins too.
