Ok guys here are some in progress pic of a track mounted shredder. Since i had no luck with the doppstadt shredder i decided to build my own. It is based on a Metso/ M&J 4000M. Now i will start off saying i couldnt find any real good measurment so it is all done by "eye" basically. Still need lots of body fill to hide gaps and such. the tracks will be in this week and will be modified to fit. I still need to add the crossover belt at the rear and it of course needs painting. Enjoy, will up date as progress is made. thanks Chris

Here it is its actualy an M&J Prior to the metso buyout. I painted it to be prototypicla of somthing "timber ridge" bought from a recycling company that had there own paint scheme. All it lacks it my company decals wich will be put on this week some time. Its not perfect but it was fun to build. Enjoy the pics guys. Chris

Awesome job!

Nothing runs like a deere with a cat on its back but the link belt ate both of them

Tasty tasty custom Chris, not a model or machine you see every day of the week or even blue moon,

I work with and maintain two M&J 4000 shredders or waste sizers/reducers,we recently had a one replaced with a brand new one last xmas, both are now twin shaft 6 knife shredders now.

Here is a few snaps of our machines,

Same shafts as above,

Why is "phonetically" spelt with a "ph"?

The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

Thanks guys! I have actualy never seen one around here, but thought it would be a neat idea. In the prototypical aspect of it i figured large trees would be going to the mill were as all the slash would be the issue, I.E. not a need for a horizantal grinder. so i built the shredder to takle the small waste. As for how long it took..Somwere in the 10 hr range from start to finish and Mr. Gbarnewall..How close did i acuaretly depict the machine? The measurements i do have, it is close, but seeings how you are around them everyday i would love to hear your feedback, what needed to be improved and so on. Thanks again for all the kind words, Chris
