Hi guys. So what is the best custom model you have ever seen. If you have pics that would be great.

I would have to say the coolest model i have seen, even though not complete, would have to be coulters madill yarder. And as for the worst...everyone has to start somwere so i will not pick pon anyone for ther beginer projects. However, i do belive that all will agree with me when i bring up sunkist diecast. Enough said.

since bad models have been discussed at great length recently, and In an effort to keep this one PC, head off any drama, what do you say we change this thread to simply: "What's the best custom you've ever seen? poorly built customs need no more attention than they have already received. that said, here are some of the best ones I've ever seen made by a gentleman/outfit in Germany. I hope it is ok that I share them here.    Eric W. Pioszak, Operating Engineers Local 701, Portland, OregonMETAL TRACKS AVAILABLE AGAIN! Cab guards Available again! Grapples Available again! I'd be willing to be they are customer specific and not available otherwise. Eric W. Pioszak, Operating Engineers Local 701, Portland, OregonMETAL TRACKS AVAILABLE AGAIN! Cab guards Available again! One of the best I have seen was accually made by a member on this forum, I do not remember who it was but the model was a crane from some asian country. The cab was a roof made out of bamboo for example. Really cool model! Eric, I have to agree with you on Bernhard's models. They are in a league of their own! Another fantastic german builder is Ulrich Pöschl, here are afew of his creations;

JanH's 385C LME and Liebherr 984C left me pretty much speachless!
There was a guy who built really great looking D7R's a few years back. They'll be a lot of inspiration and a lot of help to me when I build one. (Project #790 503)

There's this french guy's amazing imaginary mining models also. These are real pieces of art! Most of the parts are built with recycled materials. http://photostp.free.fr/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=4376There's also a spanish man who built a whole RH400, a 5230 (if my memory serves me right), a EX1200 and a 797B also from cardboard and plastic I think, if only I could find pics...

There's a bunch of them out there. Both these are amazing. http://homepages.ipact.nl/~eef7260/ For some reason I can't get the link to work. This is an American crane that's simply amazing. Find one of eef's posts and click on his link. http://www.heavyequipmentforums.com/showthread.php?11093-R-C-D9R-dozer
