So im thinking of also starting to collect 1:87 and run a duel collection with my 1:50. I am thinking of getting the American 9310 (As a 1:48th scale piece is out of the question) as my first 1:87 scale piece. So can some one with this piece please post pictures of it. Also I would like to see any 1:87 scale crane pictures. Are the Kibri HO pieces functional or just static models?
Thanks, Justin

The HO Kibri models are 95% static. You can adjust the boom angles on some of the cranes but that is about it.
The Kibri models are very cool though. I have about twenty or so and actually collected these before the 1/50 diecast cranes. They are excellent quality.

Can't go wrong with Kibri models. They are excellent German engineered models that fit very well,I mean the parts fit like a glove. Still have the HO Kalmar fork-lift, think it's that one and a bunch of Norscot HO heavy equipment.
Don't know about the crane's but I'm sure the are equally made as well.

I had a Kibri LTM1800 with luffer and superlift, had it all rigged up and ready to go, as I winched the boom up one of the pulleys decided to not hold so it all came apart :(

Thanks, Justin even though I stopped collecting 1:87 over a decade ago, I'm still tempted to pick up Kibri models any time I see them, just because they are so much fun to assemble, functional or not, you just can't go wrong, especially for the price. plus the customization possibilities are endless! Andy Looks like your display cases are full. How in the world are you going to fit the CCM Marion 6360 in there? <grin>. john

It is full & you don't see most of it in those picutres! I don't even have room for the 5230's. And my LTL 2600 is still in the box. I guess I'm either going to stop collecting or buy a more display cases. Hmmm. That's a tough one.
