So guys post pics of military heavy equipment. The pics don't have to be yours.

Nothing runs like a deere with a cat on its back but the link belt ate both of them

One I've shot myself, at an armoring plant in Lansing, MI (will roll back out the door armored and painted...)

Here's a couple I've stumbled upon:
From John Deere:

Israeli army: (search for that on Google, they've got tons of gear, big hoopla about it too, but that's not what this post is about, just showing off the equipment)

John, here's a photo of the custom I did of the machine in your first post, second photo. The undercarriage got swapped for a 320DL and the cab got a olive drab instead of a desert tan. Decided to go with no thumb on this one.

Enjoy!

Good stuff. I would buy a model of one of those super heavy armor dozers, for sure. But why on earth would Israel need that many excavators?

A lot of interesting machines for sure. I was in the US Air Force and mostly ran non discript equipment but we all had to know one specific thing about every vehicle we operated or drove. We all needed to remember where to put explosive charges on the equipment to render them useless.

The best placement is on the differentials (where the axles come out) and also on the engine blocks. This makes the vehicles useless and the major parts to make it run destroyed. This is one of the reasons military vehicles are so plentiful. If a vehicle breaks down for something other than a quick fix it is destroyed and essentially turned into scrap metal as the whole drive train is destroyed!! Also one reason why defense spending is so high but that is a different forum!!!

Nice pictures guys, oh the Case loader, I ran one similar but it was Case yellow and had a regular bucket. I loved running that Case loader and it was one that everyone tried to get it first then came the John Deere and so on. We had 2 of those Case W18s.

Dain

I'm a kid at heart, so I will play with any model construction vehicle from 1:87 scale to 1:1 scale!!!!

Age is a state of time NOT a state of mind!!
Jack.
