The Exodus is a good find as well. Good post. Water, good weather, big machines at work. I would have packed some sandwiches and have myself a picknick, just enjoying the scenery!

Great photos guys! I wonder which they prefer operating for the dredging - the material handler or the excavator? Jeeze, Tom and I only went to BRI today - not nearly as exciting as your trip! haha - Dan Daily Diesel Dose.com| All Ready Mix.com | Plowsite DOT Thread | If your only contribution is complaining, please don't contribute!

Hey, nice pics man. Got an important work related question. Are they using the red top mounted cylinder clam bucket machine for backfilling in the last few pics? Was that the only place you saw that type of bucket used? The blue TGS buckets we found were useless for clamming dry material. Plus the cylinders hang down and get pounded into the material. In case anyone didn't know. Those TGS buckets cut absolutely level when they close insted of an arc like a normal clam. They are designed for removing precision level layers of material. Here's the site if you want to check out their products- http://tgs-grabs.nl/?lang=en We rally round the family, with a pocket full of shells.....

Thanks for the comments everyone. JoeE: On the 385's/390, the TGS buckets were being used for dredging and the red clams were for back filling. 3 of 5 machines had a TGS. The Exodus was equipped with a TGS, and when we were there, it was backfilling with it. Didn't seem to have any trouble handling dry material.

O.k. good. Thanks for the observation. It may be a matter of pressure adjustment. We rally round the family, with a pocket full of shells.....
