These IZ-Kartex models are really nice, but were built to a standard size shipping container so there is no continuity of scale between them.

Another interesting piece was this dump truck from China Space Sanjiang Group. I'll let the photos speak for themselves. I wish I had the time to search for video of this in action.

Please use this before clicking "post"??? You may be surprised with what you see!

Thanks for posting, this is the kinda stuff I was looking forward to seeing. The fact that these are one off models makes them even more desirable.

Paul, Is there anyway that you can get your old friend "Joe" to start to re-post on here? If its the same old "Joe" that I'm thinking, He has more knowledge about HE then anyone Ive ever met & his knowledge needs to be shared to educate the rest of us. Thanks

Great video, that thing's massive.

Is it the video quality or can that thing really shift pretty quick?

Great to see that Chinese truck made it to the real world, are those ETF's still a figment of imagination?

Why is "phonetically" spelt with a "ph"?

... It's better to be silent and thought a fool, then to speak up and remove all doubt

The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

Hi lads, sorry, I never noticed your replies - I thought it had dropped off the bottom again!.

Yes, it's Joe but like others he can't seem to get on the forum again.

I agree BG61, infact, I'd completely forgotten about this whole tread but Joe still had his finger on the pulse!.

I noticed how fast it seemed to be bombing along and I'd love to know the payload. The dumpbody looks huge.

If you look closely, the video gets sped up right as the truck pulls away from the shovel, in order to make the truck look faster than it really is.

One of the tells of this is if you watch the shovel dipper in the background, you see it cycle at nearly twice its normal speed it was moving while loading the truck. I think the truck is a slug, but marketing doesn't want anyone to see that. It looked slower that normal trucks while running loaded, once you figure out the video is running double time.

I guess time will tell if it is a success or not.

Another innovative truck has made it to the mine site as well. The 450 ton Belaz truck is shown here:

http://www.heavyequipmentforums.com/showthread.php?35889-BELAZ-450-ton-dump-truck-specifications-released-along-with-a-model-of-the-truck!!!&p=509381#post509381

Scroll up the thread from where the link takes you for a picture of it with what is probably its first load, judging by how clean it is.

On edit, the link is bad, but you can copy and paste to get it.

This gets you just the picture.

Since this seems to be a decent thread about mining haul trucks, has anyone seen or heard about an individual attempting a Kress coal hauler?

When I first saw these trucks, all I could think was they came out of some sci-fi movie back in the day Teeth very cool looking vehicle - fast too! Some good videos of it on YouTube if anyone is interested...

Marketed at carrying 240 tons of material and rated at 1,700 horsepower
