So I've been wanting to do this for a while. Take a 1280 and customize it to a 895. I finally got a 1280 off ebay with a few minor issues that do not effect this custom. See what yall think.






Just the start...Few more things to do...

Looks good so far Justin!

I'm planning to do this as well, I already have the LR 1280 and a proper sized dragline bucket.
Are you going to add a cabguard?

I'll freely admit that I am somewhat of a n00b so Id like to ask a question.

How many yard bucket could the HS-985 swing at a 120 foot boom and 40° angle (approx?)

Check Page 6 of the Liebherr HS 895 HD Technical Description

Bucket size isn't given, but with a 123 ft boom at 40 degrees the capacity is still 35,900 lbs.
