I think def a 345/349 would be great! Dozers would have to be D4/5k and or D6T lgp or D7 or D8 lgp dozer. And a long reach 324/329E.

A Cat 345DLME/349E in standard and mass configuration will be great as interst is in this machine we need it. Along with 314D, 321D or 328D radius excavator any of the 3 will do.

How about a D6N xl or lgp with a winch. That has always been one that I have wanted.

Ah, what the heck, I'll jump on the band wagon and put in my vote for a 1:50th scale 349E Excavator. could have some potential for demo conversions.
I'd love to see a 973D Track loader and anything in the compact range done in 1:50 instead of 1:32

My vote would also go toward the 349E and the 795AC. I'm hesitant because we've not yet seen the level of quality these will turn out to be but if it's anything like their popular truck line, why not aim for the sky, say a 6120BHFS? Rowan. 1:25th scale CAT 375L excavator

How many excavators do we need? Why not a nice 773 or 777 truck and please a mid size wheel loader like the 980 mentioned previously?

Lets kill some trees!!!! any forestry stuff would be awsome, like jason said a stroke delimber in the 30 metric ton class would be super cool or a self levling feller. Those would be my votes.

Here's my wish list:
AP 1055E Asphalt Paver
CB 34XW or CB54B Double Drum Vib Roller
CP54B and CS54B Soil Compactor
973D Track Loader
312E, 316E, 318E, 324E, 329E, 336E, 349E, 374D, 390D Excavators
RM500 Rotary Mixer/Road Reclaimer
621H and 627H Scrapers
D3K, D4K, D5K series dozer (any size)
D9T Crawler Dozer
938H or K, 966K, 980H or K Wheel Loaders
IT38H or IT62H Wheel Loader
988H Wheel Loader
420F and 450E Backhoe Loader
Obviously, CCM and TWH will probably have more historical or mining related pieces. I am not impressed with Norscot at all anymore. I hope that Tonkin brings back the quality in detail in Caterpillar 1/50 scale pieces. In regards to pricing, yes, they have become more expensive, but I don't mind paying a higher price as long as the quality of the model and level of detail is there too. But if they are going to build a basic model and slap a Cat logo on it and sell it for a premium dollar, I won't buy it (I don't care what brand or manufacturer it is, if it's not there, I won't buy it). Especially when you go on E-Bay a month after these come out and are available and the prices for these start to drop. Also, please build a more realistic front end loader bucket on the backhoe loaders, using the telescopic forklift material bucket looks stupid and cheap. And with excavators and wheel loaders, follow the other scale model manufacturer's (example Motorart, Volvo wheel loaders with multiple attachments for machine included). I think they should do this with excavators too....
I HOPE THAT THEY BUILD THESE MACHINES IN ALL 1/50 Scale....
