I thought I'd show off some of my later drawings. I've been putting lots more detail in my pictures compared to some of my older drawings.Fiat- Allis FL-10C John Deere 690B Dynahoe 490K P&H H312 Peterbilt 379 Kãdon Trucking Inc. Challenger Fat Truck A little different but I also can draw cars, This would be my first leap into the world of motorsport, A fictitious Mammoet sponsored Aston-Martin DBR9.

They look damn good. Do you free hand draw them?

I'm impressed, it's a real pain getting lines straight and curves... uhh curvy like that. It's been a while since I have drawn anything and I remember the straight lines and the more gradual curves being harder than wheels to get right.

Nice drawings Bill, some of the best I've seen. That Fiat Allis track loader looks dead on!

I just found that by browsing the net.....that's absolutely amazing!!!!! That leave me speechless!!Great talent; congratulations!! Max.
Cat 245.....Now and Forever I am looking for industrial auction brochures from Ritchie Bros, Miller & Miller, Forke Bros, First Team Auction, Max Rouse, etc from the 70's, 80's and 90's.I am a collector and heavy equipment enthusiast and these pamphlets are loaded with nice pictures of cleaned and freshly painted equipment.Thet don't have much value once the sale is over but they are a great help to me in preserving the memory of machines that are no longer being built. Please, help my hobby by looking in your old storage boxes and file folders for these old auction sale brochures.Your help is much appreciated.

Very nice work, you've got talent for sure. It's also refreshing to see a different perspective of the hobby. That remembered me that I also used to do that as a kid, but I was using a metal ruler for the straight lines, and it was far not as well done... S.

S. Thanks guy I do appreciate those kind words. Since this thread is just about 6 years old now, I figure I'd post some newer drawings. Once again i'm not too specific when it comes to what I draw, I just draw whatever I'm in the mood to. This one's about 2 years old, It's a Deere 772G with front mount blade and rear scarifiers, It's also got wheel fenders and carbide insert moldboard cutting edge. Now one of the best loaders i've ever run, A Caterpillar 980C. This drawing is about 2 years old as well. Now here's a mixer, a Peterbilt 348 (The classic one, not the new one) with a Challenge Cook Bros. Boost-A-Load mixer and front mounted hydraulic pump and oil cooler. This one is only 6 months old. Now here's a John Deere 850 dozer, It has a pinned angle blade, Carco winch and aftermarket Saf-T-Cab canopy and sweeps. Lastly here's a Manits 10010MX. I really wish someone would make a model of one of these.

William those are incredible you should frame them and sell them on eBay. You have a talent my friend. I also love the Dynahoe, it was actually one of the first real machines I ever purchased when starting out, It is a monster. I have the one from EMD now, and it is much easier to maintain. If you want to sell that one let me know.

Hi William,
not only the quality of the drawings themselves, but also the choice of machines you illustrate is great. I love the Pete 348! The amount of details is wonderful, but the profile of the tires is simply fantastic. I worked as an industrial designer myself and I love to draw equipment, too. I started to operate equipment 3 years ago and found out that three dimensional thinking and the good feeling for proportions are a very helpful for the task of earthmoving.
Hope to see more
Max
