I think it looks good. But if you look at the decal on the right side in the second photo does the black bottom left hand corner of the decal still have to be removed or is that perhaps the change to a new type poweredge decal? If so it sucks a bit IMO.

Where did you get info from Rowan that this 374D upgrade is actually an E-series machine which would be a logical progression and certainly make sense? Has there been a press-release that I have missed? The new brochures state that both the newly designed 374 and 390 are actually still D-series{or are they trying to confuse everyone and keep a top secret until the Bauma launch ? } New 374D LNew 390D LGavin84w- do you know what the real deal is here?

CatD11t,
what about it looks weird? There's some tire spray on it from the lowboy, but I don't see anything bad about it.
Joe, remember the Cat 2xx? Not much black on them either... course the yellow wasn't as... bright either.
I think it looks good... I'm one of the few that doesn't think the E-series have been bad looking, course looks aren't what matters in the field... it's how they perform.
regards, Jim

I do like it. Pretty sick looking. I guess time will tell when it is proven in the field. The pictures shown in this post look like a field test machine. Even though it is a Tier 4 product CAT will be marketing and distributing machines in Canada such as the F-Series backhoe loaders, E-Series excavators, K-Series dozers with Tier 3 compliant engines and not Tier 4 at the momment. Other machinery from the product line will also be available with Tier 3 engines from what I have read but also told in person.

The counterweight just doesn't match with the rest of the e series, it looks.... strange. The CAT logo it too small, to start. Definitely not enough black too.

Looks like it will make an awesome model! On another note, I find it comical how manufacturers try and disguise machines with later model decals. It looks nothing like the d model machine and I don't know much about the dirt equipment.

Well, it would appear that the larger machines have skipped the E designation and jumped through to F.... There also appear to be rumors that the 374F will be made by Tonkin, and the 390F by CCM although I've yet to see anything to confirm it. The all new 374F and the 390F...
