Hello, I created this excavator this weekend out of mostly cardboard. Loosely based on various models. The boom is a bit short but I don't mind much. The arms are articulated along with the bucket, and is fully rotational. Not quite done need to run a bunch of hydraulic lines. My Photostream

See, I rest my case. You'd be amazed at the stuff you can find around the home to build heavy equipment in any scale. Great job.
