The center outrigger is so the crane has a 360 degree chart, without it I believe it's only 180 degrees, at least that's what I was told about those taxi type cranes

Great photos. That's one of the best logos I've ever seen. Were they working at an airfield? Daily Diesel Dose.com| All Ready Mix.com | Plowsite DOT Thread | If your only contribution is complaining, please don't contribute!

Thank you. Yes they're at the base, but not working on the flight line. Sean

Falling over wouldnt be an issue as much as battered pride.. I put about as much faith in those plastic pads as I would a Pinto gas tank. All in all she's a sleek girl , 90T flavor Im quite certain ..The flagging probably means they were working under permit from a local airport to have air space. Anybody got a manual for this ,I cant help but think the Beckett is on backwards. On the older girls it was possable to pinch of the cable or nick the boom or boom gusset's having the beckett that way

the checkered flag like that just means they are working within a certain vicinity of an airport, that crane wont have the height unless its right near a runway but typically they are under some sort of height restriction

Yeah she sure looks great in Bigge colors. King crane was a tiny little company that was bought out by Bigge years ago. A lot of cities didn't like having Bigge around, so they'd hire King Crane. So what did Bigge do? Bought em', dressed their cranes in the Blue & White and are operated King Crane, Bigge continues to use the name "King Crane" because well, nobody likes Bigge. Kind of funny when you call King for a crane and a blue & white picker pulls up LMAO so funny!

It's not about being close to an airport, it's about being up in the air where planes or helicopters could be near. It's an FAA flag. He could be near a hospital
