I'm looking at the model of the CC3800 in the photos and is it just my eyes or does it have two different tracks?. The shape/slope of the far away track looks more like the real crane but different to the near side one  . As far as I know though the model in the photos is just a proto-type which is good because the cab is also far from perfect. The black tinting slopes down to the floor on the side of the cab on the real crane.

It's probably just like the CC8800 which also has asymmetrical tracks, never quite understood why this was done tho... Stephen

Thank goodness it's not just me then and not your eyes too Dain!. I know what you mean Stephen about the CC8800 tracks and I wondered about the possibility of the asymmetrical design but it doesn't even seem to be that!. I think the CC8800 tracks are made like that so they can put either track on either side. Oh well, I'm sure when the CC3800 model is released everything will be ok.

Well, I've returned from Bauma, and will post a couple of the photo's I took with my phone. The rest is on my camera, and will be posted tomorrow. Wirtgen and Liebherr had the bulk of the new models. But Sany had their huge concrete pump available as well. It was priced at € 200 euro's. I myself brought more models than usual for a Bauma trip. My new models are as following: - Hamm H13i roller - Hamm H13iP sheepfoot compactor - Kleemann Mobicat MC 110 Z EVO jawcrusher - Liebherr L 580 Log Handler - Liebherr L 506 Compact wheelloader - Keestrack Frontier screener Photo's will follow soon.

I sent an email to Carmen Sippl at Conrad asking about the CC3800 and this is the information I recieved back from her.
You are right, the CC 3800 is a prototype and we wanted to test the feedback and reaction.
There are no further plans existing right now.
I'm not sure what the "no further plans existing right now" means and I didn't want to pester her.
However, I'm sure the feedback at Bauma was very positive but for those of us who weren't there I think it wouldn't hurt to register our support perhaps either via email or their facebook page.

This looks great from afar. If this is a Norscot piece, it looks spot on from the original media release images with the long stick. Any idea who the gentleman are in the picture? That might help explain the model. Norscot definitely still suits a purpose in the collector market, they have released some brilliant modes over the years, and I hope that the added pressure from Tonkin raises their quality. Those new Vogele pavers look awesome, they look more detailed than NZG's.
