Hi,

It is almost the same model, but here are the differences.

The SCX1200 has 5 counterweight "stones", while the SCX1500 has 6. Also; the SCX1200 counterweight base is a single piece, and the SCX1500 base is two pieces. And different decals of course!

No quite correct with your statement, the both model 1200 & 1500 is the same casting in term of it parts.
The different is similar to your statement:
1, the decoration of either scx 1200 or scx1500
2, extra one pc of stone blue color CW for 1500 than 1200.
3, extra 2 crawler CW for 1500 model.while 1200 do not equip any.
Other are all same.

Ok thanks for this very useful info

Another question did someone heard about extra straight boom sections from CGM for this crane.
There are some picture on bouwmachineforum.nl from a 1500 with extra boom sections .
Some one told there CGM made them but that's about it with the info , i never heard of them.

CGM Is run by Casi from Italy. He uses the forum and has an impressive collection of 1:50 scale scratch built lattice boom cranes...amongst other customs.

The boom section is expensive and it is resin.
But you can use boom section from Sennebogen 5500, although not exactly correct as real, but it can fit. Also if you want, you can transfer the whole boom and luffing jib over to scx except the boom butt.
