I remember "Santa" had a late gift for me a while back. I'll never forget this video, I think I blew the tape off the VHS I watched it so many times! Road Construction Ahead VideoLook at the Mack at 0:48 hauling all those jersey barriers! This has some awesome gems in it! After this I remember all the other series of videos that came out, Hard Hat Harry-what a tool that guy was!

Thanks for posting Tom, out of all the construction videos I have, never had that one. Gotta love that 80's & 90's music. I had a lot of VHS Construction videos for kids when I was little, most of them where from the 90s. Mighty Machines, have to pay to watch the rest of it though, love the ME stick and shear setup. At The Demolition SiteReal Wheels, there goes series,I bet a lot members probably seen these videos before though. There Goes a BulldozerHard Hat Harry Series, only saw the construction equipment one though. They must be removed about 750,000 cubic yards of dirt in the beginning at a big excavation job. Anybody know where that job was at (I am assuming in the New England Area)? Giant Construction EquipmentWatch Em Work KidstructionThen I can't find any videos of it, but Popular Mechanics for Kids, how they build that Series. They had a lot of interesting construciton projects.

Road construction Ahead 2 I've seen those shear heads on old school fellers like the Drott 40's & John Deere 693's but I've never seen them on fellers that new.

I just remembered one, it was a video about a talking dump truck. If I remember right, it was a Ford F700 or F800 single axle. I think the cab was yellow and the body was black. I can't remember for the life of me what the name of it was. Does this sound familiar to anyone else? On a side note, the George Woodard was a natural, but that Rusty guy just didn't fit the position at all IMO. Great thread guys! Are you talking about this? ![](http://i43.tinypic.com/204gug.jpg) I still have most of these on VHS, Just in case I want to relive my childhood where I just saw the equipment and construction and not have to deal with the B.S. and paperwork involved with it. Amazing!
I do recall a while back this was brought up about "Road Construction Ahead" and the contractor, Forte, I guess they were pretty large in the New England area? Sure seems like it with the equipment they had in the movie. I started watching the second installment but didn't get very far.
I did have that other video with Hard Hat Harry and he was doing I think a high rise building, I can't recall the name of it for sure. Never really seen much of the others that were available though.

It was kinda wierd though, It was like they where on a small island with scrap yard on it

Thanks for the link!! I too, just about wore that video out. My favorite, for sure. I acted out the entire video countless times on my bicycle....wonder what the neighbors thought of a kid in a hardhat running his bike back and forth in the same spot. They couldn't see I was really loading a truck with Cat 966 ![Cool](/images/emoticons/msp_cool.gif) . I even drove "survey stakes" into the neighbors lawns... For anyone whose curious, that video was shot while Forte was building the section of RI 138 from US 1 to the Jamestown Bridge.

Thanks for the memories! I just bought There Goes a BullDozer on DVD a few months back because I enjoyed it so much. It's a bit more special to me because I grew up as a kid in the area that the construction was going on, and I was able to also see the progress firsthand.
Now I've gotta find those Hard Hat Harry series!

Thanks for the Info looked it up on maps, looks like most of the Machines from the 2 episodes where still there with the exception of the Dump Trucks. Thought it was larger though especially when the skidsteer gets boxed in Scrappers Baby Brother Episode. If anyone wants to look it up, type in 21°17'52.81"N 158° 6'8.44"W on Google Maps and/or Earth.

I think Scrappers little Brother was a Bobcat 863 Painted Yellow and Black (Tonka's Colors) I was thinking about all the videos I have, and found more Awesome Road Construction, tape never really worked right on my VCR, but it was cool. Little part from the videoDigger & Dozers Great Adventure, about a two dogs that lose a bone in a pile of dirt at a construction site. I Wanna be a Heavy Equipment Operator, Featuring TV News host Steve Pool shows kids what it is like to be a heavy equipment operator. Gus & Sams Construction Adventure, One guy talked, and the other guy used a clown horn to talk. Featured a lot of jobs. What do you wanna be when you grow up, Heavy Equipment Operator, featured 3 kids, one wanted to be a crane operator, the second as a dump truck driver, and the third a heavy equipment operator. It had an awesome soundtrack.
